| Aims of the course: | This course is the first part of the basic course of informatics for bachelor students. It develops the practical word processing skills in MS Word in advanced level and the ability of searching and extraction of the information from public and commercional electronic sources (especially on the Internet) |
| Learning outcomes and competences: | Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- create and modify effectively complex text documents in MS Word
- use electronic information sources available on the Internet
- work with the faculty IS/ICT resources |
| Course contents: | MS Word:
The topics defined by the 3rd module of the ECDL. It means:
modifying the application environment, making changes in documents, data inserting and editing, searching and replacing text, text formating, paragraph formating, working with styles, headers and footers, changing page options, editing tables, inserting pictures and other graphical objects, preparing for print, setting the printing options
In addition these advance topics:
working with sections, working with fields (especially document content, lists)
Searching for the information on the Internet and other electronic information resources
